The highway etched its way through orchards rife with blossoms,
A dairy here and there reminded us of the plight of a cow.
Big-rigs hummed along as a tired Maricopa approached ...
David: "This land is owned by Purina, isn't it?"
Me: "I don't think so!" (Laughing, because we had just passed one of those big water towers painted in the Purina red-and-white checkered pattern.)
Me: "They paint them that way so crop-dusters don't hit them." (Still laughing)
Turns out the jokes on me ... on our way back, we pass a sign saying "Purina-Nestle owned ..."
