Swimming lessons, Day One

He's been apprehensive of the swimming pool since the day he jumped into the deep end after seeing his dad do it. That was about a year ago. He's perfectly content to play on the top step, and hangs on for dear life if he's in your arms. At least this summer he's keeping his swim trunks on. In the past it's been butt-naked Liam frolicking to and fro.

He started his first official lessons today. After a few minutes of coaxing, the kid finally let his teacher take him in. And this is what happened:

"Take me back to my mama!"

He finally warmed up to the idea of being out there just when it was time to get out. Figures. But he'll be back tomorrow. Two weeks of this at 9:45 a.m.
