Keeping Liam occupied is a full-time gig on top of all my other motherly duties ... like caring for an 8-month-old, cleaning, paying bills, cooking. I snicker when I hear people say, "Oh, just put on a movie, or let him play with his toys." I wish. My kid requires new things every day to keep it interesting. He's always on the prowl for something new to talk about, explore and deconstruct. Playing with cars only lasts for so long, people. The kid is complicated. To that end, I've been trying to come up with new activities that don't require money. Our latest thing is cutting up magazines so he can glue the objects onto paper. TOTALLY FREE! It kept him busy for an hour yesterday.
Anyone have any other ideas for my imaginative boy?

I have tons of magazines - I'll gladly donate them to you for his once in a while art project.
The girls would like to help me with some of my wifely chores. I would pull clothes out of the washer, hand them to them and they would put them in the dryer, once I sorted they would put them into the basket and help me carry the basket from the bedroom. Stuff that took my full concentration like paying bills, I did after they went to bed, othewise they would entertain themselves, and we know what happens then.
Does he like play-doh? Maz and Remy play for 2 hours straight with that stuff! And you can make it at home...
Sometimes I give them a dust rag and let them "clean" the house. That works for a while too.
P.S. When is sexy brit night ahain? I want to put it on my calendar!
